Over time two people rush to examine their conscience, and 90 pct of bickering, is over minutae, so when they are racing each other to retreat, happiness blossoms.

Agreed - I used to let more little things bother me but The Marine has always been pretty even tempered....Luckily I recognized that early and began to follow his lead. We rarely even jokingly bicker - we are usually on the same page about everything.
