...The 87-year-old singer has been in and out of hospitals several times this year after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer late last year.
Although he was told during a Houston hospital checkup visit his cancer was in remission, Price has since experienced more health issues with dehydration and intense pain from kidney stones.
...On Wednesday Price said told his Facebook fans that he was touched and deeply moved by your love and prayers and good wishes."
"You all have moved me to tears!!
I have dedicated my entire life to country music and my fans. To have folks like you supporting me still after 60 years is more than any artist could ever dream of.
As a little boy down on my Dads farm, I prayed that I would be able to sing so pretty that people would come from all over and ask, "Who is that singing such a pretty song?
Well, that prayer was answered and if I never sing again I am a happy man and no one can take that away from me.
I know love can move a mountain, so it has not all been in vain!"

From his wife on Facebook:
Hello Friends Of Ray!!
This is Janie. Just wanted to give you a good word on Ray.
Dr. Red Duke started Ray on a TPN Tube Feeding Line last Friday and he has done a 100° turn-around! He is responding quickly and regaining his strength and that twinkle is returning to those beautiful blue eyes of his! His every thought is of getting better so he can get his new CD Distribution Deal finalized so he can release the CD he just completed and is so proud of.
Today was my birthday and Ray and I wanted say Thank You to all of you who have sent us messages and ecards and yes, an ecake as well! So many dear friends have called and even with us being here in the hospital, this birthday will stand out as one of the most memorable of any I’ve had.
Ray just said “Lot’s Of People Have Friends But Ours Are The Best”! On this we so agree!!.
Blessings To All! Janie Price
One day while teaching, I saw a large bus stop in front of the school. It was Ray on his tour bus dropping by to see his mother.
