Can people still download those old browsers?

Might be fun to try. For a while.

They expect you to be thankful that they do. In the real world, it is 90% of the time that 'nix people find a flaw or exploit in MS software then issue a notice immidiately and then (all) the fix(es) as soon as someone figures it out. Most times, MS will not even address the bug/feature, since someone other than them has already issued a fix. If they have to issue a fix, that is an admission that there was an imperfection to begin with. Somehow they seem quite reluctant to do that.

Was it only a couple of years ago that the linux coders found something like 37 exploits in an MS product within a single month and released fixes for them, while MS only admitted to 3 or 7 or some ridiculously low number and officially sanctioned some releases?

won’t stop nagging you...

I hear ya on that one. I am THIS CLOSE!!! to totally dumping FF, I’m getting sick and tired of the constant software updates, not to mention FF is one of the biggest resource hogs on the planet.

Now I’m playing with IE8 and am quite pleasantly surprised. It let me import my bookmarks. It even LET ME change my default search provider and didn’t lock me into the Bing BS!

Wish there was an about:config, though. I would love tighter controls over cache location, tab bar placements, etc, etc.
