Maryland may be angry at Rick Perry for enticing business to move to Texas but something here is working..... I noticed the Igloo corp is adding 250 jobs. The morning news showed a line of folks ready to apply for those jobs.

I will allow the Pontiff to speak to that.

“How are we treating the people of God? I dream of a church that is a mother and shepherdess. The church’s ministers must be merciful, take responsibility for the people and accompany them like the good Samaritan, who washes, cleans and raises up his neighbor. This is pure Gospel. God is greater than sin. The structural and organizational reforms are secondary—that is, they come afterward. The first reform must be the attitude. The ministers of the Gospel must be people who can warm the hearts of the people, who walk through the dark night with them, who know how to dialogue and to descend themselves into their people’s night, into the darkness, but without getting lost. The people of God want pastors, not clergy acting like bureaucrats or government officials. The bishops, particularly, must be able to support the movements of God among their people with patience, so that no one is left behind. But they must also be able to accompany the flock that has a flair for finding new paths.

As I said above, the internal matters, such as assignment, and management are seperate. you are hearing the spin, without digesting his words.

Lib Catholics show up always so long as there’s a progressive voice in the pulpit.

Have no problem digesting his words, they don’t jibe with current objective reality.

One could make the observation, that the incident gave birth to a second church.

on the other matter of softpeddling...remind me again which sinners Jesus rejected?

you cant heal people you cant reach. It is, a fairly odd position, to deem some pure, and/or worthy of ministry, to the exclusion of those you view with distaste, no?

more simply put, if Kids dont go to a school, do they get educated?

When I hear from the pope his plan for educating the liberal AmChurch I will buy into his vision. The libs are in the pews of the lib clergy listening to their happy slappy sermons. What are they learning? Social justice

That's pretty much all we get, unless we make a special trip to the few and far between conservative parishes.

yes, the priests talking about the REAL DEAL are few and far between. it has been Bishop LoVerde’s commitment to the prolife cause under Ratzinger, and the threat of yanking the conscience clause under Obama care which has had a few more priests stepping out on abortion. But this week Il Papa says hold up, too much attention being given to abortion and the gheys, more social justice please.
Hobbes obsession with getting them in the pews is misplaced. They are THERE, in the lib parishes in droves, sucking up the social justice message. What is the Pope doing to provide the proper message and how is he going to get the lib clergy to communicate it when they don’t BELIEVE it? and how long do we have to wait for the libs to die out? the world will end before that happens.

A fondly remembered word from childhood-when my dad was in the AF and stationed in Japan, I started asking my mom for a skoshi bit of stuff I didn’t like at the dinner table...

The mistrust of Obamascare
Went from a skosh in a hurry-
It has turned into a tsunami
Big enough to even worry

Rat senators in certain states-
The consequences have become
So obvious, and the cost so high
It has awakened a few of the dumb

That and crippling coal again
Makes a tide that’s slow and deep-
How long till visions of Carter
Disturb the emperor’s sleep?

Jesus forgives those who CONFESS their sins. Libs are confessing nothing, they don't believe that abortion and gay marriage are sin, they have redefined sin to fit their own narrative.

your premise is that the ones that need schooled are not in church and that is false.

Same way St.Anthonys, and its spinoff were born.

What Ti said was, a couple of pastors split off...formed a new church.

Like Fr.Wickens did, with St.Anthonys. Then when The Instute of Christ the King took over, and sort of reconciled with the Archdiocese, some of those people split off, and formed yet another chrch affiliated with SSPX.

I must have missed that line in John 8-1-11.

I read it as, and Jesus said, neither will I condemn you, now go forth and sin no more.

splitting off into sects is not optimal. having a strong true message preached from the pulpit of all Catholic Churches is the key. it’s not happening, and it’s not likely to be with weak-kneed lib leaning leadership.
