Obama could stay home from one Flight in Air Force One and pay for the flyover. Or a couple of helicopter flight to play golf at Andrews.

Thanks for the ping. May they rest in peace. And blessings to the fly-over volunteers.

local fox news just showed the fly over by the 2 Mustangs & 1 B-26. There very well may have been more, out of camera view.

True, as I think that there were 2 flights because Fox News Channel definitely showed a flight of four jets with one pulling up in the classic "Missing Man" formation. PilotDave agrees in post #19, and states that the planes are Czech Aero L-39 Albatros single engine trainers. This jibes with the story citing 8 pilots doing the flyover(s) which would be 2 in the A-26 and singles in the 2 P-51s and 4 L-39s.

Overhead, eight civilian pilots performed a tribute flyover ...

Thanks. And now the pilot being interviewed in a flight suit next to some type of jet makes sense. It was a tight shot of the pilot and all I saw was a bit of wing and intake.
