His favorite drink was OUZO, a Greek liqueur, mixed with Kaluha. Some called these drinks Black Russians.

Black Russians contain vodka (you know, the country's national beverage). Maybe a Black Greek contains ouzo, but I've never heard of that.

Ouzo does suck if you drink the cheap variety (e.g. arrow brand) If you drink the good stuff like metaxa #12 you will notice a difference. But with ouzo it always boils down to one question : "do you like the taste of licorice?"
