(every gallon of gas not used, is one less
we need to import)

You still need oil to lubricate moving parts and a power station that produces electricity to recharge the damn things. We have oil here in America. Lots of it. Start drilling for it. And sell like we used to do.

I traveled 914 miles from Idaho to San Diego in my F150 with my Harley Fat Bob on a trailer. 15 hours 40 minutes door to door. Call me when you can match that with an electric vehicle. I only put 90 miles on the F150 from May to Sept while on forced “vacation” at home in Idaho. The Harley yields 50 MPG at a fraction of the cost of an electric and can go all the way home to Idaho on 18 gallons of gas if necessary. I did that last August. Electrics are fine for
rich old people who have no deadlines. High end golf carts.
