So many urban jungle dwellers
Have been gulping koolaid down
That they aren’t able to be
Off their turf or out of town

Since they absorbed the meme
Of government love and care
And on welfare these 40 years-
Without a thought to spare

For how they will eat and live
With no real skills to sell-
And no more bread and circuses-
Just their own self-made hell

The meme about Pittsburgh and losing baseball was crushed last night.

Crushed like a Martin home run.

Now i can say i hate the one game wild card playoff without it sounding like sour grapes.

We finished ahead of the Reds. We beat them three times last weekend. Why did we have to play them again?

Americans have gotten used to being highly-paid, which was because we were highly productive. The lefties still want the former although they are no longer the latter.

Stopped at tgiFridays with xsbaby after picking her up after her class finished at noon. i LUV the pecan crusted chicken salad. She is dieting and ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. Took about 20 min before we got served and then they brought steak and shrimp instead of the salmon so they took that back and tried again. The chicken in my salad was clearly at least a day old and dried out beyond belief, not remotely edible. 40 min after we were seated xsbaby had no food. The guy that brought her the wrong thing came to the table and i said, i need to see a mgr, bc something needs to be FREE here! he said he was the mgr. He literally seemed intellectually challenged, so there is clue #1 as to why this branch is a total DUMP! i went off about the chicken being dry, he offered to bring another salad and i declined saying i had no guarantee that the chicken would be any fresher! 50 min after entering xsbaby was able to eat her meal, which she said was good. The bill was $12.39. they charged for my salad and iced tea and then discounted it 20%, and charged zero for her food. soooo disappointing! i LOVE that salad, and it was horrible.

xsbaby is a youtube and internet FREAK, totally up on all this stuff. She taught us about MEMEs a few years back. Just to annoy her xsteen and i would consistently mispronounce it, most commonly as Mem-MAY... drove her nuts.

Thank you! Then I guess they will freeze in the dark when it all comes down-many of us have been planning for these times for a few years-I’m one of them-and it is still hard as hell for us to begin going galt. The spoiled, clueless dilettantes who have no economic or practical survival skills may be like queen bees in their urban hives-waiting for some workers to come and feed them...

A few years ago, a tgiFridays opened on I-10, which is about 30 miles from here. I never went there, never heard anything good about the food or service, and it closed really fast-now I know why. A Chili’s replaced it, and it is okay, if not great...

so how long are we going to accept this flirtation with moral relativism on the part of the Pope. Does he get a free pass ad infinitum bc we are so sure that he is just being cagey to confound the leftist media? at what point are we being chumps for not seeing the obvious?

It helps a little, to read the link to the actual article.

"I don't like the word narcissism", the Pope said, "it indicates an excessive love for oneself and this is not good, it can produce serious damage not only to the soul of those affected but also in relationship with others, with the society in which one lives. The real trouble is that those most affected by this - which is actually a kind of mental disorder - are people who have a lot of power. Often bosses are narcissists". Many church leaders have been. "You know what I think about this? Heads of the Church have often been narcissists, flattered and thrilled by their courtiers. The court is the leprosy of the papacy." The leprosy of the papacy, those were his exact words. But what is the court? Perhaps he is alluding to the curia? "No, there are sometimes courtiers in the curia, but the curia as a whole is another thing. It is what in an army is called the quartermaster's office, it manages the services that serve the Holy See. But it has one defect: it is Vatican-centric. It sees and looks after the interests of the Vatican, which are still, for the most part, temporal interests. This Vatican-centric view neglects the world around us. I do not share this view and I'll do everything I can to change it. The Church is or should go back to being a community of God's people, and priests, pastors and bishops who have the care of souls, are at the service of the people of God. The Church is this, a word not surprisingly different from the Holy See, which has its own function, important but at the service of the Church. I would not have been able to have complete faith in God and in his Son if I had not been trained in the Church, and if I had not had the good fortune of being in Argentina, in a community without which I would not have become aware myself and my faith. "

He keeps repeating the bolded part which I toldja, was what he has been saying all the time.

its about governing the institution.

How many times, are you going to take the media spin?

The man clearly has problems with the INSTITUTIONS, not the theology, and those two MEMES are in every interview ; )

P.S. Sorry about your lunch. Nothing worse than getting a bad lunch. Even dinner doesn’t bother me as much.

I honestly don’t understand at all what the deal is there-but either way, it bothers me. I don’t see why he would be trying to confound the leftist media-he is the Pope, the Vatican is not located in a communist/atheist country, and I’m sure that God is not scared of His critics...

Yes, i knew what you meant. But you tried to pre-emptively self-correct ahead of my pedantry. But you didn’t correct it all.

No half measures. ;-)

Its changing the public perception of the institution. And simultaneously changing the pertinent parts of the institution itself.

What any good Business owner would do.

Guys, its not that complicated, or obfuscated.
