Furloughed employees are going to be paid. I for one have seriously mixed feelings about that as I would just as soon see most of those 800,000 furloughed employees permanently furloughed without pay, especially the ones in the IRS, the EPA, the NSA, the Dept. of Ed., the dept of homeland security, and the BATFE.

The media is running around, printing stories about government "workers" being left out in the cold, when this has only been going on for four freaking days. They would be slightly more believable if they'd have waited a couple of weeks for the sob stories.
