I just watched the local news report on this story. Lots of black students. I think they were going to serious memorial.
Regardless, they have chosen to have Bucco day instead.

Dave, given the subject matter, how can there be a serious memorial?

i just texted one of my friends from work to say, hey, if they call us back to work, can you please text and let me know bc i am paying zero attention to what is going on with that. I actually dreamt the other night, that i wasn't able to find my ofc. Not working for this long feels weird. Though i have a ton of stuff that i need to do and can't imagine how i had time to work, truth be told. one bad thing is that the location of the engagement party on 11/2 is
a federal landmark. xsteen's fiance has promised us there would be a colonial woman churning butter there for the party [bridesmaids reference]. But they are shut down. xsteen is starting to sweat the shutdown bc of it, and i am sure that the fiance's parents def are, as they will need to find someplace as a backup.

The kids at that school don’t have much imagination, either with that Trayvon nonsense-would it be so hard to come up with a theme that is actually creative and FUN-it is a homecoming, not a drama club tribute to Greek tragedies...
