My son has a golden retriever. A boy and his dog is huge in a boys development. Now my son is in college and I have the dog.
I talk to the dog and freak him out. “What Lassie, Timmy fell in the well?”
Growing up, a friend of mine had an Oscar that was carnivorous. Once in a blue moon he fed him a live mouse. Looked like a great white attack.

I kept a liberal once for a pet. Horrible choice. Constant never-ending care required day and night. Whined and moaned and beyotched constantly. Always wanted more, more, more. Never in a good mood. Never appreciative. Like to have drove me nuts. Took it to the local shelter after a couple of weeks. I don’t think anyone else would adopt it. Finally its time ran out at the shelter. None too soon.

I actually enjoy the Guineas. If there is a stupider creature on earth, I have yet to see it.
There is probably at least one running back and forth outside our chicken yard trying to figure out how to get over a four foot fence.
Just like yesterday.
