Nothing but that the cries of betrayal have begun to be directed at those who stretched the rules until they couldn’t anymore, like Cruz and Lee. I think this thing only goes until January-so another fight for another day.

Creepy, isn't it? The spouse and I have a date night tonight to celebrate our anniversary, which was last month. It should be a cool show. I expect to see some famous folks in the house. One of my friends went to the Dove awards last night, which will be televised Monday and she said they had tons of production problems at that venue. They should've stayed at Belmont.

Congratulations-and that looks like a really neat date.

It was 58 this morning, and it is 55 now-no sun, intermittent rain, but that is still weird...

I like dreary, cool Fall days-I spent an hour in the very early morning sitting among the trees in the woods, where I couldn’t be seen from the trail, enjoying all the natural smells and watching squirrels and birds.

It's a forgone conclusion that the assize in Congress will lead to a huge upsize in the National Debt.

They are wrong. Grotesquely so.

This argument is, and has always been about Nov, 2014. Numbers alone favor Republicans.

However, Cruz has taken the bullet.

Ask yourselves..the Dems wanted 2 things.

Blow the Sequestration caps. Extend Debt ceiling beyond 2014 mid terms.

Any of that happen? Nope.

This was a combination of beautiful Chess moves. A Pin, and a Fork. Now it looks like the Ruy Lopez opening.

Now, the discussion over Obama’s debt , and Obamacare stays publicly relevant thru February. While people are home at Christmas watching news

Ask yourselves would the MSM have covered the Debt without this?

I

You are delusional. To whom do you ascribe these Machiavellian chess moves? You seriously think this was orchestrated? You’re nuts.

I cant tell you who the strategist is.

Check what I said when this started.

Dems wanted to blow spending caps, kick debt past 2014.

You tell me...did they get either?

Or do we keep talking about debt and spending till Feb.

Yeah, that hurts Repubs.

Your boy Jonah just made two more of my points, about positioning vis-vis re: focus on Debt and Ocare, and being on right side.

You are delusional.

He was like this in the Bush years. Everything was groovy, like Medicare Part D, when in reality....unmitigated disaster.

I actually get Part D, and it works perfectly, as intended, I deal with it every year.

The only thing wrong with it, is that its missing means testing.

Much as it would be nice to think otherwise, I’m pretty sure this was a bloody skirmish without a grand plan-unless it was to demonstrate who has the courage of their convictions, and who is a weasel-and that became apparent as soon as the battle began. McCain should be politically airlocked-or failing that, a LONG vacation in an undisclosed location.

Cruz, Lee and the others with real principles-and cojones-did indeed take a bullet for the cause, but they will live to lead and fight another day. Was it inspiring and heroic? Oh, hell yes-but I don’t think it was planned beyond the battle itself...
