This morning I looked at the NOAA 3-month prediction map. Predicted 30% chance of warmer-than-normal in TX and some surrounding states and, IIRC, maybe SoCal. The entire rest of the country was an equal chance of being normal, colder or warmer, no prediction possible due to the chaotic nature of weather/climate.

The various Almanacs are not infallible, either.

Personally, I just take it a week at a time....sometimes less. I can’t count the number of times I have made plans based on a 10-day chart and then it changes about 4-5 days in.

We prepare for the extremes and if the weather is more mild than that, all is well. If not, then we are prepared and have survived it many times before.
