Yes, she may be overweight, but with such thick-coated dogs it is hard to judge until you sink your hands through their fur to feel their bones. I suspect Shana needs to diet.

(There is a horse rescue in the State of Washington that rescued two miniature horses. At first they didn’t look neglected, as they had thick winter coats, but under all that hair they turned out to be very, very thin. You just can’t always tell without checking thoroughly.)
