Heard a story about this on the radio this morning. The coach took out his starters halfway through the first quarter. And he asked the refs to keep the clock running no matter what. He could have scored a lot more.
If that's the case...then there is nothing to criticize here. Every blow out is different, and I know a lot of people like to jump in 100% on one side or the other....which rarely reflects reality. But if his subs were in the game for the most part, this result is what it is. There's no need to humiliate a team you are superior too, but it's not proper to ask subs not to play hard either.
What was the score at the end of the 1st qtr? Must have been obscene enough for the first string to be pulled and the coach to ask for the clock to keep running. Sheesh, grow up and play some D. That’s how you avert a similar beating.
