Hurray for Jeff Gordon. Long overdue.
Dozed through most of the race but did hear an action by a CC I’m wondering about. Did Jeff’s CC, Alan Gustafson, made an unsportsman like decision, at least according to a NASCAR ruling in the last race prior to the chase?
Twas obvious that you didn’t want to get slotted on the outside for a restart. Jeff coulda come out #2 on a pit stop but Alan had him hold until Montoya (I think) went by which Jeff acknowledged by saying “good job, good job” or something like that. Couldn’t that be construed as an action detrimental to racing - like repeated pitting, letting someone pass or spinning out your car?? Picky I know but he deliberately choose NOT to do his best and come out #2....
Congrats to BSR for reassuming the coveted lead for the FR Championship. I know the pressure must be great when you start considering all the booty for winning..
