Why am I supposed to be interested in the private life of Shep Smith or any other celebrity, unless there is criminality involved?

I agree with you to a point. My problem with Shemp is that he acts like he is fair and balanced but he is not.
Remember, the current government is totally involved and interested in YOUR private life. Why should any of us not be interested in the private persuasions of those that are trying to influence us?
