Alluding to racism and literacy tests for voting made clear this piece’s author did not do even the most basic research on the tea party supporters. It is frightening to read peoples’ writings and find they believe such hateful things—makes them dangerous. How would they treat tea party supporters or others in a serious situation? Would they be dutiful German soldiers who just believe what they’ve been told as they go about their assignments, destroying innocent human lives?

I agree. You would think someone writing a book might actually do a little research into what they are writing about.
