I have just moved to Greenfield, Indiana and am looking to pick new Doctors. Heart Specialist and also a General Family Doctor. Anyone out there have any specific knowledge in this part of Indiana. I have heard Indiana University is good. For reference I had Double bypass surgery in 1992. I am not having any problems just need a checkup - Treadmill Test -etc from time to time. Thanks for your help!
I’d get a recommendation from your doctors in your old city, for anyone in the new area.
I live in Indianapolis. Now you will have to consult with the Obamacare overlords. We no longer know what you can do.
Don’t forget Doctor Zhivago and Doctor Doolittle
I am in Elkhart and Elkhart General is ranked #1 in the state and one of America’s 100 Best Hospitals for cardiac surgery if that should ever become necessary. IU is probably more than sufficient for a checkup. Good luck with the move and continued best of health !
Try Dr.Daniel Stock. He is a good doc.
If you are on Medicare, good luck. Few doctors are taking new Medicare patients.
St Vincent has lots of cardiologists. IU is a teaching institution, so you may find you’re seeing different doctors each visit and their skills/experience may vary.
I’m afraid you’ll be assigned to Dr. Berwick and Dr. Zeke Emanuel. Good thing that Dr. Kevorkian or Dr. Mengele are not around anymore.
I would suggest the Community system. I live on the NE side of Indpls. and have two cardiologist, one endocrinologist and an FP who all work through Community Hospital NE and love them.
Angies List
I live north of Indy and most of the heart patients I know travel to St. Vincent (St V) for care. Best of wishes to you!
