What is happening to law enforcement in this country? Ubiquitous cell phone cameras.
That is the only difference.
People like you are waking up because very common stories like this can no longer be effectively suppressed. It is no longer a question of who's word to believe, and the police relied on that dynamic to cover up just as much stuff in the past as they get caught doing now.

I’ve had experience with the police over the years. I’ve never seen this kind of behaviour, or even something remotely like it.
