oh ok! yeah, that’s why the ones in the cup are expensive, bc they are a pain in the butt to extract. i grew up eating those around holidays when i was little. this is the first i saw the already extracted arils, which i guess is what the seeds are called.

We used to call them Chinese apples when we were kids. Aril is just another word for seed, popular in crossword puzzles. It’s probably a better word for marketing them.
