The Affordable Gun Act
October 23, 2013
by gunwriter

affordable care act, guns for everyone, militia, tax credits for guns

In the interest of the health and welfare of all Americans I am proposing new legislation. This new law would be called the Affordable Gun Act. The primary purpose of this law would be to insure that all Americans have access to tools for self-defense.

Seeing that life and liberty are considered unalienable rights guaranteed by the Constitution, and considering that too many Americans are victims of violent crime which results in injury and death, and since the treatment of and attempted prevention of injury and death are considered health related issues, this new law is timely and could be considered a companion to the Affordable Care Act better known as ObamaCare.

Here is how it works. By April 15, 2014 every American 21 years of age or older, who is not legally prohibited from owning a firearm, must, at the time of filing their tax return, show proof of ownership of a personal protection firearm. Like with ObamaCare, this firearm must meet certain standards; standard which have already been established by various Government agencies.

Understandably, some citizens are not financially able to procure a quality firearm that meets these requirements. To help reduce the financial burden of procuring these firearms, firearms that have been identified by the Government as being suitable for personal protection – semi-automatic versions of firearms in use by military and law enforcement – will be made available to American citizens at no more than wholesale cost + 10%.

Government military contracts will be amended to require the suppliers of these firearms to offer them to all citizens and this condition will apply to all future and existing Government contracts related to personal defense weaponry. In other words, if the FBI identifies a new service weapon for issue and a contract is awarded, then that same firearm must be provided by the manufacture to any American citizen who can legally own a firearm at wholesale cost + 10%.
