Me and my wife scored a Saturday ride on a b17 when it came to Owens field a while back.

I just figured I would get to look around and see it take off and land. There were two slots open and we bit the bullet. It was a great ride and 30 or so minutes was plenty. I didn’t get much due to the unsteady ride. My wife really enjoyed it.

I went back the next day just to watch some. There were delays for about an hour and a half due to sky. They loaded up the first group and started up. A few minutes later powered down then some panels got pulled.

I left but later heard all flights were cancelled. A booster pump is what I heard was the culprit.

One guy I talked to had been trying to catch a ride on it for a few years. I know he was bummed. He was really looking forward to it.

The EAA tri motor was recently here and I caught that ride. The tour it was making was the last for it. It was going to be a museum piece when it got back home.

A REALLY nice ride is a Biplane over the Florida Keys in an open cockpit. I have also done this over cape Cod.

I did that for my 50th Birthday!

For my 57th I flew a MASH Helicopter. (Talk about a rough ride!)

This year, for my B-day, I got my CCW.
