I’m surprised to see Psychiatrists and psychologists not on the list. I suspect a lot of people who pursue those fields are trying to “cure” themselves or at least understand themselves.
Second, there is no source or study referenced, so this could just be somebody’s hit list.
And I’m surprised to see Caregiver at the least of the list. My experience with caregivers are that a number of them are in it to steal drugs from their patients. And others are in it to steal money from them.
Turns out the author is a psychologist....hmmmm?
This is a survey of psychopaths, which is a subset of mental illness/personality disorders.I've worked with psychiatrists as well as other physicians and it's true...or seemed true to me...that a good percentage of shrinks were a little "off" but not psychopaths.Remember...the following are a few examples of true psychopaths:Ted Bundy,Ted Kennedy,Stalin,Mao,Hitler,Osama Obama and Bill Ayers.
being a psychiatrist is not a profession, it is already a diagnosis.
“Im surprised to see Psychiatrists and psychologists not on the list. I suspect a lot of people who pursue those fields are trying to cure themselves or at least understand themselves.”
Maybe, but psychopaths would not do well in those professions, because they don’t have much ability to understand other peoples’ thought processes or feelings.
You are right. That’s my exact experience, too.
