I see something a little immoral about judging a crime based on previous crimes. If they’ve paid for those crimes then those cases are closed. They shouldn’t figure into the next case that comes along. I do think we need more serious punishments for minor crimes, however.

Maybe..but aren’t we supposed to be judged on the content of our character? When you apply for any sort of credit, you will be judged on your past credit record. If you apply for a job you will likely need a resume full of job history complete with references, as you would to rent an apartment or house. In the secular world we are all judged by our past history this is nothing new. Why should not the same be true for a HABITUAL CRIMINAL offender? If a person is committing the same crime over and over again it would not only be logical to consider a prior record but prudent as well. A life sentence is quite harsh for this crime and may not be reasonable to most people but where do we draw the line with those who routinely commit crimes against society??

Lawlessness is an issue that grows in the country with every passing day, and this admin.is creating an atmosphere that encourages it while simultaneously punishing those that abide by the law.

This has to change
