Immediately after school, I had an appointment with a federal income tax guy questioning my income tax return about a rental house we owned. When I met with him, we talked about Kennedy being killed and the income tax question wasn't that important to him or me at that time.
I had asked a real estate agent in that town how to report whatever that was about the house, and the guy said I was told wrong and he adjusted my income tax return. I don't recall it cost me any money. If it did, it must not have been much as I don't remember writing a check.
That's one reason I will always remember where I was as one doesn't get questioned about an income tax return very often.
