And who couldn’t put a shoe together if his life depended on it. I knew a man who worked as an engineer in Ceausescu’s Romania, even met him once or twice. Ceausescu’s father was drunkard who had another son. He was such a drunk that Nicolae was given his name even though his older brother had the same name. Papa Ceausescu forgot he had already had a son by the name of ‘’Nicolae’’. He also told me Ceausescu was so dumb he couldn’t understand dimensions in scale models of things, such as his endless construction projects so things had to be built life size first so that he could understand what he was looking at. As for Goebbels comment, it’s obviously the statement of an arrogant but well educated man. In fact of all of the thugs in Hitlers closet circle, next to Albert Speer, Goebbels was the most educated among them. He had a PhD in philosophy from Heidelberg University. In any normal German societal situation at the time Hitler and Goebbels would never have been known to each other.
