Nothing beats the Smokies. Born and growing up in Tennessee was quite nice. It was even better going to UT in Knoxville.
If I had to return to the USSA, I would be in the Smokies.
Absolutely stunning...and the video was pretty good too....
The mountains are definitely nice. I grew up in Ohio and loved going to the mountains of West Va and PA.
I went to college just outside there on the NC side. Driving above the clouds from Cherokee, NC to Gatlinburg, TN was always a favorite any time of year, but especially striking in winter assuming the road wasn’t drifted over and closed. Tremendous aqua blue icecicles decorating the rock faces on the roadside, the natural photochemical haze that gives the Smokies their name clears when the leaves have fallen, providing tremendous long range views.
My son lives in CO.
The mountains are majestic, wildlife everywhere, but I miss the trees.
Miss the variety, understory, creeks w/ ferns, moss covered rocks, bee balm, rhododendron thickets, flame azaleas.
Love the Smokies, Blue Ridge Mountains.
As we like to say, we only need go three hours away to get 100 years behind.
I like the Smokies.
I love the Rockies.
It’s an exquisite piece of real estate. The mountains comfort you.
Shhhh. There’s already too many people there. Let’s keep the secret.
Beautiful . Just drove through them from SC to Wisconsin . Can you send me email on where you rent these cabins? Thank you.
That was great! Showing it to mrs p6.
I'd love to see the synchronous fireflies. Anyone been to the Elkmont event?
That cat does some great work.
