I've not followed it much, but this pic seems to indicate the final impact was against a relatively small diameter well rooted tree that sliced thru the chassis like a knife.

I see a lot of results of a lot of car crashes in my line of work. That was NOT a 45 mph impact. I agree with those of you who call BS.

I thought it was a tree in the car. The tv report said utility pole. Thanks.

That also looks like a pretty high curb. I would think it would take some momentum to put that car up around that tree.
