Obamacare Increases Premiums... Just Because.

My health insurance plan is grandfathered... yeah me. However, apparently "grandfathered" doesn't mean "costs the same." See the letter below and bear in mind that there have been no changes to my grandfathered policy...

End of 2013 Premium Increase

TOPICS: Business/Economy; Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: obamacare
My rate is increasing not because of any change to my policy or any change to my medical history. My premium is higher simply to comply with an Obamacare rating rule.

well rates have gone up for years
so is your new rate more or less than the ‘ incorrect rate” they first notified you?

just be glad you don’t have to pay for all those 10 essential services you don’t need or want.

Rate went up about 15% or more simply to comply with an Obamacare rating rule... nothing to do with my actual coverage.

Last time I checked, the word “period” is not synonymous with the phrase “at a higher rate”.

Well, all those make-believe pig farmers have now caught the make-believe swine flu and somebody has to pay them.

YOU might not have anything that changed, but the insurance company did.

One thing that changed is that insurance companies cannot deny someone for preexisting conditions.
So...EVERYBODY picks up the added cost for that. Next, little Michael and Sally are now covered under mommy and daddy's insurance until 26. Carrying them longer means added costs to the insurance company,
so... EVERYBODY picks up the added cost for that. Under Zerocare, abortions are covered, and whether your policy covered that or not, insurance companies MUST NOW cover everybody with abortions,
so... EVERYBODY picks up the added cost for that. I believe mental health and substance abuse programs are now mandatory,
so...EVERYBODY picks up the added cost for that.

Are you noticing a pattern here???

Well, dammit, pgyanke; why shouldn’t you pay more so some slunt can have all the free birth control she needs - so some wowon who waited until she was 43 and decides she HAS to have a baby can - so another womon can get an abortion after an series of one-night stands end in pregnancy; think of others, man!

[the above is SARCASM, not an attack in Mr. pgyanke]
