Two of the Ramones are dead, or is it 3? Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee...
So is Joe Strummer of the Clash. There was a short film showing him behind the scenes and at the end we see him wearily getting ready to go on stage again and you think,
not too long after that was filmed, he would be dead. (Wiki: Strummer died suddenly on 22 December 2002 in his home at Broomfield in Somerset, the victim of an undiagnosed congenital heart defect.)

A few weeks before his death, he performed a few Clash songs with Mick Jones.

Yeah he was a big time lefty, but that was one of those sudden deaths that hit me like a punch to the gut.

It’s three. And strangely enough, the only surviving Ramones (except for C.J., who replaced Dee Dee) are their drummers.
