Possibilities are:
1) never where cured in the first place and the virus was only reduced to the point where it was undetectable.
2) they were cured but their lifestyle enabled reinfection
Either is clearly possible, although I’m inclined to doubt that there was a cure. There’s been too much of an emotional and political investment by too many in believing that this disease is curable. What if it isn’t?
