"The post office is being killed for political reasons, they assert, pointing out that the corporation with the exclusive contract to negotiate sales for the Postal Service's $85 billion real estate portfolio is C.B. Richard Ellis (CBRE). And that the company is chaired by Richard C. Blum, who is the husband of US Senator Dianne Feinstein and a member of the University of California Board of Regents. CBRE's connection to a politically powerful family with a history of accessing public pension funds to make private investments has caused more than a few activists to suspect wrongdoing — even though no evidence of any conflicts of interest tied to the CBRE contract have been revealed.

NextNewsNetwork video synopsis of above article

Partial script:

"This story about Dianne Feinstein making 1 BILLION DOLLARS off the sale of US Postal properties is like an onion, each layer you peel off reveals another layer and so on. But instead of making you cry this onion only makes you angrier and angrier with each layer peeled. The first layer is that the United States Postal Service is broke and to try and make ends meet they must sell off hundreds of post office properties to gain cash flow and reduce their deficit. In a side stinky layer 80% of the postal service's multi-billion dollar deficit is caused by a law that congress passed in 2006 that requires it to pay retiree health benefits 75 years into the future.

This law does not apply to any other government agency. According to a Postal Service report to Congress more than 600 buildings nationwide are "earmarked for disposal". This alone is making people across the country angry because some of these post offices are historic buildings that have been post offices for almost a hundred years.

Corruption knows no limits when you know the right people in the right places.

With all its problems, the post office is one of the few places in the government where most of the employees actually work.

I am sure that yer average 30’s-40’s-50’s post office building has considerable asbestos presence....the new buyers are probably getting 6-figure abatement allowances.

There's always a way to make a few million off being a US Senator, and Fineswine and Blum never miss an opportunity, while sounding Holier than Thou.

It is no wonder that Feinstein loves the NSA and the snooping with such zeal. This woman has a lot to be worried if and when the masses awaken from their media induced hypnotic slumber.
These DC miscreants are running out of tools with which to distract the public. One more big event like 2008, complete with bankruptcies, foreclosures and job loses will unleash the frustrations of the public and that anger will be zeroed in on DC. No doubt about it!!! She should be very worried!

Well they need to keep busy until the high speed rail line starts construction. She’s got her husband into that contract too.

And why does the GOPe do nothing about it? Because they’re getting richer and richer, too.

Dianne and hubby need to be jailed to spend the rest of their lives selling cigarettes in jail. I am sure we could find some treason in their past and future.

The post office is being killed for political reasons

The post office is dying because it is increasingly obsolete. Technology, ya know.

No corruption or cronyism required. Though they can of course speed up the process.
