Thanks for Part 2. Those 49 thru 51 Mercs were always my favorite iconic customs of the 50’s era. Especially when ‘chopped and channeled’.
My first “legal” car was a 1940 Ford coupe that I paid $100 dollars for. I lowered it in the back, put a 3/4 race flathead engine with 2 Stromberg 97 carbs, and a columbia rear. An awesome car, very fast. Wish I had it now (except it was terrible in the snow.
