Mayor-elect Peduto (Pittsburgh) makes peculiar request to President Obama

Pittsburgh’s mayor-elect Bill Peduto traveled to Washington D.C. last week and Channel 11 News has learned he had an interesting request for the president.

Peduto was one of 16 newly-elected mayors to meet with President Barack Obama on Friday.

The president discussed city challenges and job creation with the group.

But Peduto said he also asked the president for the scaffolding around the Washington monument.

“The president asked, ‘why would you want it?’ I think he thought I was going to scrap it and make some money. I said, ‘no, what I would like to do is make it so the Allegheny Passage, the bike trail from Pittsburgh to D.C., one of America’s greatest bike trails, would be able to start at the Washington Monument and end at the Washington Monument,” Peduto said.

I see the low information voters of Pittsburgh elected another smashing success. There’s no hope for this city.

Besides the dopey reason, I got stuck on "...asked the president for the scaffolding...". Is it the President's scaffolding to give? Is it part of his stash? I don't think so. Maybe the construction company wants to keep their scaffolding. Maybe they're willing to sell it. But it's not the President's call.

Same idiot who, when he was on the City Council and trying to suck up to potential mayoral voters, designated “Whiz Khalifa Day” to honor a notorious rapper.

What the Hell?! Why do people not see through the idiocy with these people? That question and answer makes absolutely zero sense. He’s going to display it along the waterfront? Scaffolding?

As stupid as he has just publicly acknowledged himself to be, this one is exponentially brighter than the last one. If we keep up this trend, we will have a mayor with double digit IQ in about 50 years.

He was there for one reason...to beg for money out of Obama’s stash. Just like DeBlasio and all the other Democrap Mayors who were there.

(my personal conspiracy theory....they were planning the comeback of OWS, just in time for the 2014 campaign and Obama’s big push on income inequality. DeBlasio likely agreed not to evict them from Zuccotti Park if they return.)

In a city of 310,000, he was elected by roughly 6000 union members in the Democrat Primary. The GOP candidate had bugged out and moved to Israel before Election Day.

Obama will keep it in case he needs to erect any more Barrycades to keep WWII veterans at bay on Veteran’s Day.

If A.J. Richardson had one, the imposter would have given us a new stadium.

The city is a Democrat stronghold, and the occasional Republican candidate is even more liberal. So yes, hopeless.

Republicans only win here under one condition:

That the Democrat Candidate must be Cyril Wecht.

He has made so many enemies over the years within his own party, they’ll gladly turn and vote Republican just to stick it to him.

Aside from that, we haven’t got a prayer.

The only reason that Pittsburgh isn't detroit, is we have large health care centers, and the natural gas flow from the shale development.

Peduto wants to spend tax payer money for a freaking bike trail...good Lord.

If any demonRAT mayor gets an audience with any President, and his only request is for scrap metal, he is a nit wit {is that redundant?}.
