I suppose. I'm not sure. But I saw not long ago some new Corvette or possibly concept model that had tail lights very similar to that of the new Camaro, which I don't care for at all. They were rectangular, as opposed to the traditional 4 little circular tail lights.
The concept utilized a rear section from the doors back that draws very much from the original split window Stingray coupe, even the center rear section, with the four circular shapes of the taillamps transferred to the exhaust, and sort of implied “outrigger” blade fenders with heavy aero effects and brake ventilation. Factory lost all of that, maybe a hint of a few shapes, nonfunctional.
