Way back in 1968 or ‘69, several state highway patrol agencies bought fleets of Chrysler Newport sedans with the 375 horse, 440 cu. inch V-8.

Big Torque Rules...

The turbo’s push as much air as a 440 at a given RPM. The new V8’s have to get the RPM’s up to push that much air.
