Nope, good for me. I love music, was raised in a musical family. I play the piano, love classical, semi-classical, opera, operettas, music of the forties and most country/western. I post frequently on the FR classical music thread.
I just don't like the "concerts" of today with good musicians but a cacaphony of lighting effects and hideous amplification which serves to hide the undistinguished, near-unlistenable, forgettable "music".
However, to each his own if one prefers the incredible noise, the undecipherable lyrics, the cookie-cutter gyrations of the band's "stars".....plus, if you're lucky, explosions here and there on the stage or a fainting or two in the front row.
When I go to a concert today it's at our very fine performing arts center where they still present music which transports one's brain, not distorts it.
