My friends who saw it posted on FB it should have been rated X. It was orgies and drugs so they walked out. That was all I needed to know about this movie.

Comparing Jordan Belfort’s memoirs to Dostoyevsky, Shakespeare, or even Nabokov is absurd on its face...but feel free to continue that fantasy.
I’m talking about the general narrative principal which is true regardless of the source. You keep saying that the ‘hero’ is a bad guy. Like that’s something new. ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ doesn’t glamorize Belfort any more than Goodfellas glamorized Henry Hill.
