In honor of the New Year, Im giving my students a choice between using todays word in a sentence, or sharing whatever your New Years resolution might be.

My New Year’s Resolution is to lose weight. Blah, not original I know, but necessary. Bah, humbug. I am not going willingly into this resolution, but I do resolve to keep it.

You get the first Gold Medal of the year, and I'll throw in a "One Day Sober" chip from AA.

Yea, well, I’m thinking “revolution” is a somewhat more apt word.

Losing weight is always the most popular resolution. I’ve been going to health clubs forever, and there is always an influx of new arrivals just after the first of the year. Sadly, most are not seen past Groundhog Day.

January is known as make something for yourself month among knitters who worked furiously to make gifts in time for Christmas. So I’m debating...cardigan or scarf?

Cardigan. I spotted a nice sweater in church last night and realized it was hand knitted. Made me itch to find a class. Who knew I would want to knit again.

Let's hope this year's voters stick to a resolution of electing people who know what they are doing and use the Constitution to back them up.
Overcoming voter fraud is a necessary step in that direction.

That decides it. I have one on the needles, called Hey Teach but would rather do one called Sitcom Chic. I'm going to revive an old resolution to put names to faces of all the regulars I see on the trail because there are a lot of new ones since my old resolution from several years ago. And I'm sticking to the resolution to knit up the yarn I have and not buy new, no matter how great the deal is or even if it is alpaca(my favorite).
One of my chickens, Penelope, is bock-BOCKING out there, trying to get neighbors to notice her, which could result in permanent reolocation. I've checked on her twice already this morning and she is fine, just way too noisy.
