My favorite drive since I was a kid was traveling south on Lake Shore Dr. near Division with the Drake Hotel and Michigan Ave in front of me and Oak St. Beach to the left. Beautiful especially at night.

It’s a great shot, with a combination of modern digital sensors and post processing.

I reserve the term “Photoshopped” for images that could not be done without some kind of layering from another image. The Chicago image does not have that, apparently. It probably was adjusted for contrast, fill lighting, horizon leveling and cropping.

NO city...anywhere...is stunning.

Breeding holes of crime, and every vice...greed, hatred, sloth etc.

This week as the wind comes in off the lake and funnels through the concrete canyons, it is going to take a hearty soul to walk the streets of Chicago.

A beautiful city...north of Cermak and east of Halstead that is.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

Probably shot HDR. It’s a fine image.

The butt hole of the midwest.

Constipated with democrats, crime and gangbangers. Bad roads, bad smells and no hope of ever getting better.

Eventually chicago will fall into detroitism and we can bulldoze the place and start over.

To be fair I believe this is accurate for almost all cities. Any place democrats rule turns into crap.

I love to visit Chicago. Last time there (in October) we did the Chicago River Architecture Tour...just fantastic.

Cities always have been. Even in the bible cities are vice ridden hell holes.

I have taken a boat ride that focuses on the city’s architecture. It is very impressive. And certainly going to the top of the Sears/Willis and Hancock buildings adds another element.

First time I was there I did exactly that. Instead of taking the freeway I decided to take a “shortcut”

I’ll NEVER do that again!

It looks okay from a distance...

It looks progressively worse (pun intended) the closer one gets to it.

“So is Indianapolis, a whole lot safer and user friendly as well...”

As long as you are not a black male on the east side of town or a white female to the north.
