I don’t disagree with your approach.

However, when you have so many kids that the kids have to become parents, you are asking for trouble, in spades.

Quiverful should be judged literally, not just figuratively.

A quiverful of arrows has to be able to be carried to be used.

The hidden knowledge in the Bible verse being, yes, children are a blessing, but don’t produce more than you can raise properly.

I am sure that limit is different for everyone.

It’s been my observation that really large families usually have the advantage of somewhat older kids who help as the later ones arrive. I went to school with several kids, each of whom were one of eight. The older ones always helped to care for and guide the younger ones. Both older and younger siblings seemed to benefit, and there was never a question about WHO the parents were. I never saw large families as much of a problem. ‘Course that was a long, long time ago.
