Harping on BridgeGate performs three Hillary-helping acts:

1) It removes Christie as a possible 2016 opponent
2) It's a "butterfly!" that removes the public view from the disaster that is Obamacare, as well as the disaster that was Benghazi
3) It makes the GOP have to decide between supporting corruption or eating its own (that the Democrats never have to do this may be unfair, but it is the way it is, for now)

Bottom line: Hillary is determined not to be blindsided in 2016 the way she was by Obama in 2008. Any credible-in-her-eyes opponent must be taken down NOW.

That bridge is the busiest in the country BECAUSE non-New Yorkers have to take it to get where they are going. NYC never built a beltway, so those of us going from Virginia to Connecticut also get stuck, including the truckers.

In any event, if Christie knew about it, or knowingly hired people who are capable of pulling these kinds of stunts for political payback, that is the real story. We already have that with Obama and Holder. I have contempt for someone who would purposefully make people suffer for petty revenge or political leverage. This is what Weicker in CT and Obama in the U.S. did when they didn't get their way on a budget. We have to be the party that doesn't hold an entire populace hostage.
