Cristie needs to lay off the Krispy Kremes. He looks like the poster child for pork barrel spending, literally.

watching his “presser” on Fox…. he dissed Romney ( at least that’s how I took it) when he said something to the effect of I’m no politician with blow dried hair and meticulously vetted.

He did great damage to the Romney campaign in its final days by palling around with Barak. Romney was certainly not my first choice but he would have been better than the disaster we have now. I will not vote for mr. Christie under any circumstances even if Satan ( perhaps HIllary) is the democratic nominee.

I'd like to thank the Clintonistas for taking Christie out.

I would put my money on a Rove hatchet job myself, he has to destroy all the Republican "establishment" candidates, before the 2016 primaries to make room for Jeb Bush as THE establishment candidate. Then we will see a repeat of 2008 and 2012, where the conservative vote is split between 3 or 4 viable candidates so the "moderate" cruises to victory. (Hey it worked for them twice in a row, why not?)

Reporters don’t seem to be buying the ‘I didn’t know’ excuse.

[The traffic study excuse didn’t stick, either.]

He’s sorry.

[cue: Brenda Lee: I’m sorry. So sorry. That I was such a fool .... ]

That first report was in error! Actually, the traffic jam plan was the offspring of a Sunday School class infuriated after viewing the Da Vinci Code. It’s time these radical forces were STOPPED! Bob

Krispy, why didn’t you flap around WHILE the lanes were being closed?

I was having similar thoughts.

Whatever we FReepers want, the general buzz has been that the GOPe was going to run Krispy Kreme in 2016. So, of course, the left had their “SQUAD” on duty, searching emails, hard drives, memos, private communications, etc to find ANYTHING to take him out.

BTW, EVERY time I have EVER gone over the GW bridge, at least one lane is closed. How would this have been any different? It would never have been noticed if Kreme was not a GOPe favorite.

On the other hand, this helps clear the decks for a REAL Candidate!

Reporters are questioning his judgment in hiring these people and/or the culture or environment that would seemingly give them permission to instigate such a plan.

Christie responds that he only found out yesterday morning and, as a result, 2 people are now gone from his organization.

Actually, it was a spontaneous demonstration to the video that caused a couple of barricades to be put up, it then escalated to permanent barricades in the lanes. Christie was told about them and then no one knows where Christie was or what he was doing in those critical hours after the barricades went up.

If he had any hand in this whatsoever, he should resign.

And now the blame game begins:

Christie fires aide, apologizes for traffic jams

Snip

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gov. Chris Christie on Thursday apologized to his
constituents and said he was “embarrassed and humiliated” by his staff, one
day after emails and text messages revealed his administration may
have closed highway lanes to exact political retribution.

Christie also said he was firing Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly,
“because she lied to me.”

Christie responds that he only found out yesterday morning and, as a result, 2 people are now gone from his organization.

Say what you want about Christie, but that's two people more than were held accountable for Benghazi, IRS targeting of the Tea Party, seizing of AP reporter's phone records, NSA domestic spying, and the Obamacare disaster.

If he had any hand in this whatsoever, he should resign.

In what?

He knew nothing about anything. But someone sometime somewhere told him it was a traffic study.

[Why would someone tell him it was a traffic study, if it had NOT become a concern?]

Ut o. Some internal documents may have been leaked regarding port authority, etc.

[This could be the tip of an iceberg.]

To: Lonesome in Massachussets

Why?

By that standard, nearly everyone in DC would have to resign.

A US ambassador is killed, sovereign US soil invaded, the NYT interviews the invaders, AND OBAMA DOES NOTHING?

Millions are going to lose HC insurance, and almost certainly someone is going to die as a result.

Fallujah is now occupied by Al Qaeda.

The IRS is used to suppress constitutionally protected speech by one party, and accelerates the ability of the other incumbent party to broadcast theirs, it turns an election, and nothing happens.

In fact, the guy who benefitted the most appoints one of his donors to lead the investigation.

All this proves is that Christie is stupid, which isn’t news. There have been brand new lows established in terms of who should and should not lose their jobs.

All you are doing is enforcing a double standard.
