I agree it is stupid (no I didn’t watch the video, maybe I will but I can’t put my sound up right now).
What about the people who will say teaching your children to say the Pledge of Allegiance is bad? What if you teach your children to say it the new pro-life way “with liberty and justice for all, born and unborn”?
Some people (one had an anti-catholic rant about Sonia Sotomayor just the other day) would say you’re fomenting a theocracy if you do that.
If all these parents did is teach their kids bad words, I can’t see that justifying taking their children away. Sure, we all agree suck my **** is bad language, but it’s still a content based judgement.
If there is other neglect or abuse, that is a different story. Perhaps one could make the case that posting this on the internet is exploitative or indicates extremely bad judgment, sufficient that you are such an idiot you shouldn’t have children; but I take it that it was not the parents who posted it.

What else would it be? Prudential judgments are based on facts and circumstances, like a trial. The government can err by being lax or harsh in its determination of parental fitness, but in principle, the government is the parent of last resort.
