Grandfather used to call his cattle by honking the horn on his pickup. :)

Ours would just come when they saw the truck.

Grandfather had a big ranch. I remember as a child we would drive out and there wouldn’t be a cow in sight (lots of woods around, too). He would honk and it might be awhile but sooner or later we would see them coming in the distance.
