Doctors, quoted by local newspapers, said Rahmani fell ill two years ago and was admitted to hospital for the first time in his life.

It sounds like he did fine until he began seeing doctors. ;-)

It’s my understanding that the best-cases maximum for the physiological state of the human body is 120 years. That’s assuming full functionality and no abnormalities.

Either science got it wrong or this guy was some sort of one-in-a-quadrillion abnormality. Or I’m mistaken. Or the record keepers were mistaken. Who knows. God speed to Uncle Mubarak.

He doesn’t look a day over 100.

You jest, but in all seriousness, I think you have a point there.

Obviously taking care of yourself with a sensible diet and reasonable amount of exercise is half the battle (gluttons and couch potatoes tend not to get old) but staying away from the doctor can actually help keep you healthy.

Think about it. Doctors are always looking to prescribe you something. Pills for your blood pressure. Pills for your gall bladder. Pills for your metabolism. Pills for your sex life! So many pills!

Some people take so many pills each day that they have to carry around color-coded trays and set alarms on their cell phones to be reminded when to take them.

I just can't see how all those pills can be good for the human body over the long term.

BTW, I'm talking about vitamin pills and over-the-counter stuff like Tylenol and cold pills as well.
