I respect and admire the BMW riders maniacal devotion to riding in inclement weather. Long after the storm has chased me under a viaduct along comes an R90 rider wearing several thousands of dollars of rain gear, bonding with his/her ride in the cold and wet miserable conditions.
Guilty as charged.
I’m certainly old enough to know better, but my excuse is that I’m too old and set in my ways to change now. Plus there’s the sunk cost of the Roadcrafter, the rain gloves, boots and electric vest that you want to amortize over as many miles as possible.
