No way he misses it.
I have to say, I am a Pats fan, but I loved the press conference after the game on Sunday where Manning was longing for a Bud Light!
Gotta love it! We are so lucky to be able to see these two guys playing for the last decade and a half!
Great PR campaign going on in the AFC title game!Kraft knows how to rev up the hype along with the NFL!Spend spend spend! They need ratings and $$$!Tommy was probably just shopping with the wife down on Newbury street in beantown and couldn’t get to practice.
Heh, you haven’t been on FR that long, but you picked right up on the conspiracy theorist angle...
You’re going to fit right in with a certain portion of the crowd on here!
I come and go.I’ve been on FR for 15 years.
Watching the last few Pats games, I wondered at the time why teams don’t get sick more often, when they’ve spent 4 hours standing on the sidelines in the driving rain at near-freezing temperatures, and with their uniforms visibly soaked.
Looks like maybe it caught up with Tom — I hope not.
Ah, so that’s how you got the hang of it...:)
The man makes millions and drinks that swill? But that was a great line. He should have longed for a Yuengling. LOL!!
I’m looking forward to this game. Here we have two of the finest quarterbacks ever in the NFL, both in character and ability.
Meanwhile in Seattle....
Did you see how Kapernick and Cam Newton appeared at their after-game press conferences? Newton was neatly dressed in tie and jacket; he looked great! He addressed the questions in a sharp, dignified manner.
Kapernick looked like a thug who just finished a game in a pool hall. Hat askew, slouched over the microphone, I expected him to ask for a lawyer before he answered any more questions.
Indeed! But it wasn’t the beer he wanted...it was the concept of a drinking of beer he wanted!
I swear, there was something completely genuine in that...but if he is at all like me as he gets older, the desire to drink is still there, but...I don’t have the energy to do it!
I think he just liked the concept.
As for the Yuengling...last year when I came up through Pennsylvania, I bought several cases to bring home with me...one for myself, and a couple for a few friends of mine who really like it. I can occasionally find it up here in Massachusetts.
But I generally drink Sam Adams when I want a beer for the pleasure of the drink, and I drink Coors Light when I am drinking over a long day, like going to the game in Foxboro or when there is an all day party somewhere. For a little while, I tried drinking Sam Adams in the same fashion I drink a six pack of Coors Light, and it didn’t work. It was too heavy for me.
Here’s the thing for me, though: I would much rather have an ice cold Coke when I am thirsty, than an ice cold beer. I am not a connoisseur of beer, rather, a consumer. I like what it does to me more than I like the taste...:)
Heh, but alas...not the energy to consume!
Eh. I Just. Don’t. Like. Kapernick.
He reminds me of Aaron Hernandez. There is something about his look and manner.
Don’t like.
I bet he was longing for something a little stronger when he took the air out of the ball at the end of the game last year and let Baltimore win the game. I like Peyton Manning but have always wondered why they were playing not to lose instead of playing to win. Manning scared to pass the ball? That’s exactly how it happened. They tried to run the ball play after play and got stopped, had to punt it away to Baltimore and ended up losing a game they had in the bag.
Congratulations...your team did a good job today.
