A perfect descriptive word for so much BS...

All the stale, sophist lectures
Fueling the Obama minions’ ruse
Look less like of a revelation
And more like another excuse

The website selling Obamacare
Doesn’t safeguard information-
So smart people ran away from it
While he was on his last vacation

Higher premiums and deductibles-
Sign up, pay a fine and they shove
You into a one size fits all plan-
What is there for you not to love?

I didn’t realize it had gotten so cold last night-the clothes I’d hung out on the line were frozen early this AM...

Scholarships are dependent on much more than grades, unfortunately. Very little money is offered for white suburban kids.

A+ for you! It just got above freezing here, finally. I am tired of winter and it’s been less than one month.

Pe-lousey further displays her talent for sophistry when she interprets the writings of St. Augustine for the rest of us! Miss Crankshaft has no end to her arrogance.

“the ones that have no business being there”.

Is that ever the truth-that kid of mine drank the koolaid while getting a masters in science, and is now saddled with a debt she will likely never pay off, while the ones you are talking about got a free ride, even though they barely squeaked by-some with grades adjusted up ala affirmative action BS.

Cruel person that I am, I’m staying in my rabbit hole so I can’t even be asked to help-I told her she was being Pollyanna, and besides, I’m broke myself.

Thank you! I’ve had about enough of it myself-and I usually like winter-the days are in the 60’s and sunny, but the temperature drops like a rock after dusk, and it is frigid until noon...

For those of us who crave the outdoors, it is not pleasant to be out there lately.

well the first mistake is to think everyone needs to go to college. if there are no job prospects when you get out, what is the point of going? xsbaby has a learning disability and cannot do a 4 year program even, though i’m sure we could get her in one and they’d be happy to take our $. She is opting for a certificate program at a community college and will supplement that with acquiring various graphic design skills to build a resume and hopefully get a job.

Exactly. Trades and crafts are just two examples that do not require college but they are necessary occupations.

I’m a believer in having a trade/skill to fall back on, even with higher education-I learned it from my parents and other family members-my dad was a fine carpenter-so is my brother, and my mom helped my aunt with her bakery on weekends-MrT5 was in the process of turning his weekend job of woodworking into a full-time shop when he declined and died.

My college education isn’t making a dime for me-hasn’t for years. The tradesman’s work I learned from my contractor uncles and 1st husband are what is keeping me able to bring home some groceries-that and being able to grow and bake some stuff for barter...

If she did that, more power to her-she certainly deserved some fun herself, being married to a worse swinging d*** than Bill Clinton-and it does make delicious gossip...

A for you. We had a way too exciting game tonight up in Philly and our goalie played lights out and didn't even make one of the 3 stars. Sure he let some goals in but he also made some phenomenal saves, easily sportscenter material.
